It is estimated that there are 640,000 people diagnosed with oral cancer annually. At our dental office, we use the VELscope as an effective way to visualize and discover a wide spectrum of oral trauma and disease. This adjunctive devise is used together with and as a supplement to the traditional oral head and neck exam. It is conveniently performed in the dental office during a routine hygiene exam and only takes about two minutes.
